Since Google first started becoming a thing, Pay Per Click became an easy way to get to the first page of search engines. If you don’t have the time to rank on the top page of Google but you have the budget this is the way to do it.
We recommend using Google Ads over other search engines since Google takes up an overwhelming part of the search engine market. In addition, we only recommend doing this for brand exposure and if you have the budget for it. It’s known that the returns don’t necessarily come from Google Ads however, it will get your website right in the face of those searching for your products.
Sign Up For Google Ads
Signing up for Google Ads is easy, you simply go to ads.google.com and follow the instructions to get your account signed up. You will need to add your credit card though to get signed up. Don’t worry though, you can stop your ads so you won’t get charged.
After that you can begin to design your campaign. There are hundreds of ways to do this but below are the two easiest steps.
Choose Your Keywords
You will first need to choose which keywords you want to bid on. Google Ads use a bidding system and the people who spend the most money get the top rankings for specific keywords. You will be shown what the average bid is as well as how many users search for a specific keyword on average.
The more people who search for the keyword, the higher the average bid likely is. You can also cap how much money you want to spend for each keyword on a day to day basis. Keywords should be chosen based on relevance to your business and by what they will most likely be searching to find you.
Craft Your Ads
The next step is to craft your ads and assign those chosen keywords to them. The ads should capture people to click on them and follow relevance to the keywords you assigned from them.
While these just brush the surface of what is capable with Google Ads you can find more resources in our blog or give us a call and we can design an entire campaign for you!
